reports have it that Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai has ordered
overweight soldiers to work on their weight gain in order to stay fit
for the task ahead.

Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai's attention has been called to
the issues of overweight troops in the Nigerian army as several soldiers
have developed huge pot bellies thereby hampering their performance in
the fight against insurgence.
He decried that many officers and soldiers
have not paid the needed attention to their physical fitness, which has
led to many of them being overweight with tendency for obesity and its
attendant health risks.
Buratai has directed the Department of Army
Physical Training to work out guidelines on improving the physical
fitness of personnel.
